For years i looked in the mirror and did not see me. my body was constantly bruised and broken. my mind was kept in a state of confusion. my heart was torn, crushed and betrayed. my desires, wants and needs went unfulfilled. my soul was lost and lonely. All because of those who said they loved me. i did not like or recognize the person i saw in the mirror. i built a wall of protection around me. The wall has no cracks or entrance. The wall was the strength of stone. Built to protect me from those that said they loved me. i saw strength and determination in the mirror. The bruises and the scars had faded. my mind became clear and focused. my heart was protected. my soul was securely hidden behind the wall. Locked away behind my wall from those that said they loved me. The vision of strength, health and happiness. my wall created the perfect vision. Determined to go on, to survive to be whole again. Healed, strong, protected and happy with myself. Free from those who said they loved me. my wall....my strength....my vision in the mirror. A facade of the truth hidden even from myself. i was now ready to search again. For someone to look past the scars. For someone who will see and appreciate my strength. For someone who will deserve the love and devotion i have to give. For someone who can fulfill those desires, wants and needs. For someone who i can please with my submission. For someone who can appreciate who i really am. For someone who can set my soul free again. For just ONE who really loves me. When i looked in the mirror i was strong. When i looked in the mirror i was healed. When i looked in the mirror i was open to new adventures. When i looked in the mirror i was whole again. If only i didn't see the eyes in the mirror. The windows to a tortured soul. The ONE who really loves me will see. You came to me with a clear vision. You came to me with an open mind. You came to me with an honest voice. You came to me with patience. You came to me willing to teach. You came to me willing to learn. You saw through the windows in my wall. With your honesty, my wall begins to weaken. With your openness, my wall begins to sway. With your genuineness, my wall begins to crumble. With your patience, my wall begins to fall. With your love, my wall is totally discarded. Because of ONE who truly loves me. You saw my fears. You saw my pain. You saw my desires. You saw my needs. As only ONE who truly loves me can. You won me with a gentle touch.
