Hey everyone, just figured I'd stop by and say hi. I'm a 21 year old male sub and I'm new to both 1763 and BDSM so I'm hoping to learn a thing or two and hopefully meet some people while I'm here.

Also, I have a few questions about 1763 since, like I said, I'm pretty new to all of this. Is it only open on Friday and Saturday nights, and only when there's an event? Also, if I go what should I expect? Are most people already doing their own thing and don't want to be bothered, or are most people just chilling and approachable? And how much should I dress for this place? (should I lean more to casual dress or formal dress? The FAQ almost makes it sound like if I'm not wearing a gimp suit I should be wearing a formal suit.)

Hey Psychout,

Normal clothes are okay, as far as I've seen and worn, myself. You can wear slacks or blue jeans, nice shirts or T-shirts. Just don't come to the club wearing something that you would expect to see gang members or a homeless person to be wearing. The group of people there are actually pretty friendly and willing to talk to strangers. When you get to club, just let those at the counter know that you are new to the club and lifestyle' and I'm sure you will be shown around and introduced to several of those in the lifestyle.

As for the nights they are open, I would suggest checking the calendar. There are occassional events that take place and are placed there.

So, come on out, meet some like minded happy people, and find yourself enjoying the evenings.

Jason

hiya Psychout! welcome to the site and the forum...

mjm's about right on the clothing... be comfortable, just don't look like a slob! lol...

and, the Ffolks at the club are just delightful! i'm sure you'll feel right at home!

what to expect at the club? great folks, good energy.. otherwise, it depends on the event of the evening.. some events have demos and/or discussions... some are other types of educational events... some are just play parties... it's all on the calendar...

look forward to seeing you there sometime! :)
