When my wife and I first arrived at 1763 we did not know what to expect. We had never been to a dungeon before. We were apprehensive and ready to run if need be. That was before Teri met us at the door. Her warm heart immediately put us at ease. She showed us around and was very patient explaining things to newbies . Thank you Teri.
We ended up renting one of the suites that night ( decadence night ) and oh what a night!:D The only thing I can think of to complain about is we spent ourselves out by midnight and had to crash. We will try to pace ourselves next time , and oh yes there will be a next time! See you all at New Years Eve!!

Teri is great. I hope she never gets upset with me asking the occasional question. :o I'm sure to see you on New Year's Eve, Cloudbear; and I'm glad you stuck around and enjoyed the night.

Everyone...

Thank you so much for the glowing compliments! In fact, am I glowing, or am I blushing?

I vividly remember the first time I ever set foot in a public dungeon about 10 years ago. A few friends "dragged" me along. The staff at the door was efficient, but seemed more wrapped up in their own conversations than meeting new folks. I stood around feeling all eyes were on me and not one person came forward to introduce themselves. Needless to say I stuck close to the people with whom I arrived.

When I was fortunate enough to become a staff member at 1763 I swore that my experience would not be repeated. Every public night, after getting pretty and turning on the lights and music, I always mentally prepare myself to "meet and greet" new faces as well as familiar ones. Ever go back to a restaurant and the staff remembers you by name from a previous meal? Most of us feel good about that. Ms Whip has provided a terrific play space for so many varied events, but it is ultimately the staff and the great folks who attend throughout the months that give 1763 it's welcoming feel.

And by all means continue to ask questions! Aren't we supposed to be passing down our years of wisdom (?) and experience (?) to our children, grandchildren, friends, etc? Ok...enough pontificating.

I feel excited to have found this place...
I hope to get aquainted enough that I will be able to come experience for myself... It is one thing to sit and wish for it for so long, but another to meet someone and be able to actually go and do...

kat.. there's plenty that come out 'solo'.. and, there are several occasions that there's a 'pre party' dinner somewhere near the club, to kind of relax and socialize publicly before heading out for playtime! just keep an eye on the forum and threads for upcoming dinner things... the calendar always has the club events on it...

Indeed Kat , come on out solo. There are a lot of friendly people at the club. Don't wait , go and do!

its probably a little late to be asking this... but most of the activities ive seen so far are 21+, are they all? i'm only 19 (pity), but this is the first place i've found in my extensive search that feels -right- to me, someplace i would actually feel comfortable attending in reality, as opposed to just wishing fervently.

that one can be better answered by club staff.. although, i believe it's 21 for 'regular' events, and i think i saw something somewhere, that 19 is allowed for the educational events... wondering if the Stations of the Cross night is considered educational event, and you'd be allowed?

*waits for a correct answer, to also increase my knowledge :)

Yeah, I knew about this place before but I was too young! I'm excited about going, even if I'll most likely go by myself. I like being able to meet and connect with people when I'm at gatherings by myself.

MissMolly and Kat,

I don't know if the Stations of the Cross night is considered educational or not, either, so I can't answer that question. What I can suggest is that if it is, both of you should ask for Teri when you come to the club on your very first visit. She is one of the greatest hostess I've ever met at a club. I know I'm going to make her blush when I say this, but she is the best. She's been great at helping people new to the club to become oriented and feel comfortable there. Just ask for her and I'm sure you will find the club is a great place.

Teri,

I hope I didn't toot your horn too loud just then. :o

Aww...just doing what come naturally, but everyone makes it so easy! Glad I don't have a web cam, otherwise you'd see me blushing this morning.
