Physical punishments

I've seen this discussed time and again through the years, the topic of physical punishment! Im curious about your feelings on punishment via whipping, caning and the like! Personally I am not a physical punisher, I play for the good stuff not the bad!

Do you punish with canes, whips and the like?
Do you reserve physical punishment to a particular item?
What constitutes a physical punishment?:cool:

i'm with You, MsWhip.. i play for the fun stuff....

if i'm involved with Someone, and punishment is need (which is veeery rare :O ) then silence would be the best.. err.. most effective for me...

spankings, whippings and all the other 'play activities' are always good things for me, and i prefer that the 'good' not be used for the bad.....

hmm.. i guess withholding the good could also be a punishment :( *goes to polish my halo!

Physical punishment has always been a subject that has always been what I call My "hot button". Very tricky indeed. That is when "knowing" your play partner, sub, ect. comes into the picture. Silence has been a very positive reinforcement for Me. Other times withholding is necessary. This topic can go so much deeper, especially on the psychological level. But overall, Knowing when to use physical punishment, and how in My opinion is very important.
