Question: I would like to know if a Knife can used in a Sensual Session? Where there is no cutting at all.

speaking as a bottom.... oooh yes it can!!! the cold steel pressed against the body... the touch of the knife being run all over... wanting to squirm and wriggle, but knowing you can't is such the headspace!!! it gets to the point that it could be anything, and would still give the 'mental portrayal' of a knife...

there will be a knife demo at Wicked Wonderland.... and i can't WAIT!!

sits back and lets the Dom/mes answer now :)

Did I hear Knife play? On 11/22/08 during the 1763 WicKed Wonderland event one of our vendors is doing a demo on Knife Play! This is an excellent opportunity to come out to shop, socialize, dine, party and see educational demos*** All in one glorious huge event!

Come out and join us along with our friends from Panther Prowl Enterprises for this incredible Knife play Demo!

Knifeplay is so much fun... *panthergrins* I love watching the blade parting the cloth, then sliding over the skin... The whimpers and moans... It's going to be a party.... LOL

And no, cutting or blood do NOT have to be involved in knifeplay. Of course, part of that depends on how you define "knifeplay". I define it as "Using a knife or similar tool in an erotic way". As such, I have done knifeplay scenes where the blade never touched the skin. Yes, a knife CAN be used to cut, but I feel that "cutting" is a different thing, as a rule. Knives are not usually sterile and add significant risk when used to deliberately break skin. I recommend using a sterile scalpel for that purpose. Come on down to Wicked Wonderland and I'll be doing a knifeplay demo and no blood will be deliberately drawn during the demo....

Ok so as ridiculious as it sounds I just recently heard of someone doing a knife play scene and it ended badly with a trip to the hospital! What are the knife play basics?

Thanks for sharing and Im really looking forward to seeing you and yours at WicKed Wonderland on 11/22!

Even with safe words and scene negotiations, accidents sometimes will happen. For Myself when I'm egaged in a knife play scene, Im in a zone, but Im still aware that Im in a position that reqiures Me to remain focused. One should know their limits. Never "show off"
I use a variety of tecniques. One basic is "dragging" where the blade is angled. I constantly read My subs no matter what, but even more during a knife play scene where I am scanning with My eyes as well as feeling. I am always gaging My energy as well as the energy around Me as well.
Knife Play 101 : Make sure your blade is clean & alway have either a dull, or sharp edge, never ragged.
