I started dating this girl about three years ago. She stated to me that she was in an abusive relationship. When we are alone she lets me slap her face and gets wet when I spank her. Ok, now that there's a bit more information, I'd have to say you'd have to be the judge of the situation.

From what you wrote, what follows is my personal opinion:
If she was in an abusive relationship, she may need mental help. If she don't, that's awesome. Different people act different ways when they feel threatened. Yes, a laugh and/or giggle, may be signs of distress.

I'm not sure you want to 'take advantage' of the situation, because your attempt(s) to 'take advantage' of her possibly stressed mental state could cause harm.

I'd say that it might be a good time to seek professional help of some sort, just to make sure everything is as it should be...then you and her can proceed down the BDSM road together in whatever way you both feel brings you enjoyment.

This one is a situation that is best handled first hand and I seriously doubt you'll find a good answer to your situation on a bulletin board.
