You can load a custom avatar from your computer via your user cp! I hope this helps!

For some reason I don't have that option. It may be a user level thing?
I can get into the "User CP" and I can also select "Edit Avatar" but the only selection that's showing is:
"Avatars are small graphics that are displayed under your username whenever you post.
(A selection circle with a dot in it.) Do not use an avatar
Note: if you have a custom avatar selecting this option will delete it.

Maybe I'm missing something as I can be dense sometimes....or is that 'bull-headed'? LOL! ...probably both depending on when and where. :D

That 80x80 rule eliminates most of my choices! (Most of mine are 100x100, some even a bit bigger.)

I reset the avatar size to 120 x 120
