What's a cuckold?

I have seen this question posted on another board and it has generated quite a bit of replies. What do you think the term cuckold stands for? What is a cuckold?

my understanding of a cuckold is a married couple where one of the partners is available to have sexual encounters with others. Sometimes the partner of the one having the sexual encounter prefers to be present to watch and sometimes they only want to hear about it afterwards.

i have heard many variations of this definition, but this is the one that i have always known it to be.....but i could be wrong :eek:

i always love a challenge when it comes to more knowledge. Therefore, not knowing exactly what a cuckold is. i felt compelled to look up the term.

"Referring to couples wherein the female is Dominant and she takes on additional partners, while the male takes on a submissive role where he is monogamous to her, or only becoming involved sexually when it is felt to be emotionally supportive of her and her lover, or remaining altogether chaste. A man who fetishizes this situation is often referred to in the sub-culture as a "cuck".
