My 'profile"

When I joined this site I filled out info about myself and uploaded a picture. Since then I have seen my picture (a small version) but nothing shows when I look at my profile. I do not mind having my info posted.Did I do something wrong? Thanks.

Hi Dark Gift,

Currently there are 2 different areas that allow for you to personalize and modify your profile page.

1. log in and on the top navigation bar(far left is a button) for User CP
2. log in and look yourself up in the members list, also on the top navigation bar. From here you can set up your members profile page with photos, private messaging, chat, instant messages and blogging.

First I made sure I had a valid log in at the site. Next,I clicked on CP on the navigation bar. All the info and options I chose are still there from when I joined the site. I 'saved changes' in each section just to make sure. Next, I went to my profile. The only thing changed there is a log of threads and messages. There are no clickable areas within my profile or on the bar above that allows me to add information on the left side of my profile.Some are on the right. I am doing something wrong (?) but can't figure it out.Sorry, I promise I am computer literate. Thanks for the compliment on my pic. Ted

Log into the forum.

On top navigation bar, the 3rd link from left is "members list"

Look up your name in the members list and click on your name.

Here you will see your profile and each area has a little wrench by it so that you can open the tools!

This works, I just tried it for you.

I followed your instructions.No deal. When I get to my profile there are no 'wrenches'. I am unable to open any part of my profile. I logged out, logged back in, went throught the process again, then did it all a third time--same results. Sorry.

I had go into the website under your username and password and found exactly what I was looking for! Did you go into the members list and click on your name?

I use YIM for instant messaging.The handle is hands324.Your instructions have been clear and easy to follow. I have tried multiple times by accessing the 'user CP' and 'members list' to reach a window or page where I could edit my profile. All of my info is listed under the editing functions in 'user CP' but that information never appears on my profile when I access it from the members list. When I access the 'members list' from the navigation bar, select 'D' from the alphabetic list, My site name, 'Dark Gift' appears, as does my picture--one of the few shown in the members section, as well as a link to my email and YIM. The info that I input when I joined the site is 'in' the site, but it never appears under my 'profile' and I have not been able to edit my profile from any page or area of the site. I will continue to attempt this. Sorry to be so much trouble. This AM I scanned through the FAQ for the third time, did a search using 'edit'profile', read everything posted there and accessed my profile from multiple areas of the FAQ section. The site always takes you to the 'user CP' page.Soooo......I went through each section of the editing function there, made minor changes, saved each change, then checked my 'profile' under the members section.Nothing changed and I had no access to do any editing at my 'profile page'--all that appears there is my site name and info regarding my posts. Seems to me that the info I input under the 'CP' would appear on my profile? Interests, my picture I have uploaded,my contact email, etc. Wouldn't this be automatic? But...as I stated in my last email, when I randomly checked profiles throughout the 'members list', the only profile that had pictures on it was yours. NONE of the other profiles I looked at had ANY info at all except the persons site name. I haven't seen any pictures in the 'members list' area except mine, but I have not looked at every page of course. It seems that the personal info and picture I posted appear only in the 'members list' but not anything in my profile except my user name, Dark Gift. When you look at my profile, what do YOU see there? Personal info on the left? Interests? Does my picture appear on my profile when you access it? It has to be something I have done wrong or a problem with the site. I find it hard to believe that you and I are the only ones that have posted a picture.Well, I'll keep looking at it. Thanks for your help.

Update. According to our communications, I have navigated the site correctly and have put in the information as required. I just completed the following----First, I logged into the site, next I clicked on 'userCP', made some modifications to the fields there (including changing my picture) 'saved' the changes in each field. Logged out, logged back in and clicked 'Members list' on the nav bar, clicked 'D' in the alphabet list, then clicked on my user name, Dark Gift. What I see is what you placed in my profile. The only thing that has changed is my picture in the members list area. Sorry. I still wonder why I have never seen any profiles on the site other than yours that have info and/or pictures in them. Thanks. Any other suggestions? DG
